Frontier Digital Timer programmable Time Switch TM619H2 - Made in Taiwan - With Lcd-4 Pin - Review

Buying Experience

I bought this online from Amazon.in recently. The seller was Numax Technology Pvt. Ltd.. Packing was good. Prompt Delivery. I had an issue with the product delivered to me. I got it replaced from the seller later.
Unboxing

Frontier Digital Timer programmable Time Switch TM619H2 - Made in Taiwan - With Lcd-4 Pin comes in a normal Chinese product box with no seal. For eg. When you buy low priced clocks from the shops, there will be a normal cardboard box right? It’s similar. Within the box, you can see the Digital Timer & User Manual.

Installation & Setup

Front side of the device have a small LCD screen, 7 buttons and an LED bulb. Open up the plastic cover on top of the timer to program it.

1. You need to take some extra care before connecting the power to this device. You will get small crimp terminals from the electrical shops which can be connected to the ends of the input & Output wires and further can be inserted to the respective device slots.

It will be better to cover them using an insulation tap, since the terminals are very close in the device and doing so will help avoid short circuits. Do the same process for Output wires as well. Always use a 3 pin plug on the switch board which will help you connect the Load & Neutral wires properly to this device.
This is how I have connected the wires:

 2. Connect the input wires to the device and switch on the power. At the 1st time (only), the LCD display will be switched on which will show the time as 00:00. You can set the current time by pressing the Day, Hour & Minute buttons along with ‘Clock’ button. I mean you need to press and hold the clock button to change the hour or minute. Once set, it will keep on display the time even if the input power is off.
Connect the output wires and device which needs to be automatically started in the set intervals.

3. Next step is the Timer programming. Press on the Timer button (2). You can see the 1st Timer program screen which will show ‘1on’. Set the 24hr format time by when you want to switch on the output device. Pressing on day will show you different day combinations. Select your desired combination and the timer will work on those set days. Press the Timer button again - which will show ‘1off’. Set the switch off date and time.
Press the Timer button again will show you 2on, 2off, 3on etc. till 17off. I believe 17 programs can be done, though I haven’t tried it yet! As I mentioned above there are 15 date combinations which are well explained in the User Manual.

If you want to remove certain programs say 3on and 3off, you need to press the Reset Button (6) and do all the clock setting and programming again! Else make 3on and 3off as 00:00.

The Manual Button (7) can be used to override the programs. 3 modes are there. On, Auto & Off. Off will stop the power. On will switch on the power. Auto will wait for the program to start.

Functionality

I have used it for outdoor lighting. I have connected two bulbs in parallel from the Timer output. I want them to be switched on every day at 7:00pm till 11pm. It works well.

Below video may give you a detailed picture:

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Multiple programs can be done to switch on/off various devices
  • Very light weight & cute device
  • The plastic cover on the top helps the buttons to not to expose to dust/insects.
  • Easy to program
  • 17on and 17off can be set – I haven’t tried everything together. I saw in their product detail that only 8 on/off programs can be done. Never tried it.
  • Even if the product pack is cheap, it’s a quality one.

Cons:
  • Connecting the input and output wires are difficult. Need to use crimp terminals.
  • It requires a switch board box for effective use, which is not there.
  • Product pack looks like a cheap low quality one.

After a few days/Months/Years of usage

Purchased it recently. Will keep you all posted after the usage.

My rating would be 7/10

There are 9 buttons on top of the Music boat as shown in the below pic. They are the various music controls and the Power Button.

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 Keyboard and Mouse Set - Review

(Pic Courtesy: Microsoft)

Buying Experience

I bought this online from Amazon.in recently. The seller was SUPER DEALS 24X7. Packing was good. Prompt Delivery. Completely satisfied with the Product and the Seller.

Unboxing:

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 Keyboard and Mouse Set (Black) comes in a Red & White Keyboard box which itself looks beautiful. Within the box, you can see the Keyboard, Mouse, USB Dongle, 2 AAA Batteries, 1 AA Battery & the Product Leaflets. The 2 AAA Batteries can be used in the Keyboard and the 1 AA Battery in the Mouse. The dongle is almost half inch square shaped & black in colour.

Installation/Setup

Insert the batteries into the Keyboard & Mouse. There are battery slots provided behind them. Open it and it has the drawing inside to correctly place the batteries. Follow that. There is a switch provided behind the mouse but not in the Keyboard. Switch it on to make it available to connect to the computer.

Insert the USB dongle to any one of the USB slots of the computer. Within few seconds, the required drivers will get automatically installed and the Keyboard as well as the Mouse will get connected to the computer.

Below video will give you a more detailed picture:

<Video cannot be loaded at the moment>

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • The glossy frame makes it look beautiful.
  • Keys are well placed & there are enough gaps between them.
  • Curvy & Slanted keys helps to type easily.
  • As big as computer keyboard. Enough weight helps it not to fall so easily.
  • Two slanting stands provided at the bottom can be used to raise the upper height of the keyboard.
  • There is a battery low indicator provided below the keys; on the frame.
  • The range is impressive. I could type or mouse hover from my next room with 2 walls in between. Almost 10m far!
  • Mouse has an On/Off switch behind it. Helps to increase the battery life.
  • Mouse has a slot behind it to hold the USB dongle.
Cons:
  • Keyboard is a Finger Print Magnet. Mouse is Mat finished and its good.
  • Mouse scroll is white & made of Rubber. I am assuming that it will be a dirt magnet after few days of use.
  • The Escape button is provided as a small key with the function keys. I use Esc key frequently and this is really irritating.
  • The Esc & Func keys are not as raised as the other keys. I use to ensure yet again after pressing the keys, that the keys are pressed properly.
  • Bottom of the keyboard is white which I believe will become a dirt magnet soon.
  • To use Home, PgUp & PgDn you need to enable Numlock!
After few days of usage

I will keep this portion updated after a week’s/month’s/year’s usage. Stay tuned.
